Why Speak Out?

For-profit colleges often use tactics to silence their students. For instance, schools have been known to use mandatory arbitration clauses that force students and employees to adjudicate their claims against schools individually, confidentially, and out of court. This and other tactics keep problems with the industry out of the public eye, and off the radar of oversight agencies like state attorneys general, accreditors, and the U.S. Department of Education. As taxpayers, consumers, parents, and students, we all deserve to know about abuses in the for-profit sector. Help us expose them.
